Crafty Cardmakers Challenge

Well, I didn't win my first challenge. Never mind, there is always the next one.

Challenge Number 4 is 3D Elements, and as most of my cards have 3D elements on them, I should be able to manage this one.

Here is my first card, which I will admit to having prepared earlier (in true Blue Peter fashion!). It is one I submitted to Creative Cardmaking magazine back in May, but unfortunately they did not receive my cards. So, I may as well put the picture to good use!!

The picture is one that I took when the Tall Ships were leaving Liverpool in the summer of 2008. Brilliant day! My naval roots were stirring that day watching all those beautiful ships.

I created the pyramage using Photoshop, and the background paper using Paint Shop Pro (haven't figured out how to do that yet on Photoshop).

Well, that's it for now, but you never know, there may well be more! Having said that, the two I did for the last challenge also qualify for this one, as they both have 3D elements on.

The 3D elements on this one are the flowers.

On this one the main image is a 3D element, and so are the snowflake buttons.

  2. My naval roots are much further back than that. My Dad was in the navy at the end of the war, but both his great-grandfatherss were master mariners, and one of his great-great-grandfathers was a ship owner/merchant (sort of a James Onedin character) in Canada in the late 1800's.
